The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutritional care and dietary guidance to patients with various medical conditions, including inadequate intake, malnutrition, altered nutrition-related lab values, altered GI function, dysphagia, kidney failure, respiratory failure, wounds, CVA, SCI, orthopedic injuries, brain injury, limb loss, Parkinson's, and MS. This role involves assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing and implementing nutrition care plans, and educating patients and their families on proper dietary practices.

Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' nutritional status and identify nutritional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
- Monitor patients' tolerance to diet and adjust plans as needed.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities accurately and completely.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on current nutrition guidelines and research.
- Manage nutrition for patients with Inadequate intake, Malnutrition, Altered Nutrition related lab values, Altered GI function, Dysphagia, Kidney failure, Respiratory failure, Wounds, CVA, SCI, Orthopedic injuries, Brain Injury (traumatic and non- traumatic), Limb Loss Parkinsons, MS.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
- Active Alaska (AK) License.
- BLS certification.
- Short Term Acute Care Experience.
- Epic Experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility or LTACH/ICU setting.
Special Considerations:
- Block scheduling may be accommodated.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be included with submittal.
- The traveler can be called off for one 8-hour shift per two weeks.
- The clinician will not float within scope to meet facility needs.
Scheduling:
- 5x8 Days (40Hrs)
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 Hours per 2 weeks
- No on-call requirements.
- No weekend requirements.
