Job Description The Proposal Writer will apply proven federal proposal writing expertise and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and proposal teams, drafting compelling, compliant proposals. Leveraging deep knowledge of solicitation documents and customer preferences, the writer enhances narrative responsiveness and helps capture teams translate complex ideas into persuasive messaging. Co‑author and lead assigned volumes or sections for RFPs, RFIs, and other proposals, providing expert writing support as needed. Partner with capture and business development teams to craft compelling narratives that reflect LM’s value propositions and strategic goals. Collaborate with the Proposal Operations team to provide seamless, high‑quality proposal support. Develop and deliver proposal writing training to proposal teams. Support proposal writing tool and process development. Desired Skills Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Formal training or certifications in federal proposal writing, capture, or business development (e.g., Shipley). Experience using generative AI tools and historical proposal databases to accelerate content creation. Background in related proposal development roles, such as Proposal Manager or Capture Manager.
