About the Role Devereux Florida provides intervention services for families in crisis referred by the Department of Children and Families. Our goal is to prevent children from entering the foster care system by creating safe communities and helping parents who lack support or guidance. The Family Advocate is a field‑based position that assists the Case Manager in implementing Safety Services and Support Plans and provides direct support and assistance to parents and their children in their homes or community‑based settings. Key Responsibilities Immediate Family Engagement 24/7 Crisis Response Professional team approach to family preservation Skills Training Intensive Case Management Hands‑on assistance to manage danger threats in the home Provide ongoing resource support (food, housing, clothing, medical, daycare, counseling, etc.) Transportation to appointments as appropriate Position Details Salary: Starts at $17.50 - 19.95 / hr (rate based on education and relevant experience). Eligible for a $1,000 sign‑on bonus. Schedule: Full time; Flexible schedule; NOT a 9-5 position. Location: Palatka, FL – field‑based services throughout Putnam County.
