About the Role
The company is looking for three visionary and passionate volunteer members to join its Board of Directors. This is an exciting time for the organization, and the new board members will have a crucial role in strategic planning, fundraising, and leading mission-driven initiatives. The ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in nonprofit leadership or as successful entrepreneurs, with strong skills in fundraising or marketing communications.
Candidates should be prepared to make a significant annual financial commitment and demonstrate a deep understanding or connection to gifted education. Board members will be tasked with evolving the long-term vision for the school, ensuring financial sustainability, and supporting the Head of School in leadership and evaluation functions.
Board members are expected to dedicate 20-30 hours quarterly to their service, including attending meetings, engaging in strategic initiatives, and connecting with the school community. A hands-on approach that emphasizes both strategic thinking and practical execution is essential. The company highly values proactive board members who advance organizational goals, ask thoughtful questions, and challenge assumptions constructively.
Successful candidates will be expected to generate a minimum of $45,000 in donations annually and should have the ability to leverage their personal and professional networks to support the school's mission. While preferences are for regional candidates, the company welcomes qualified applicants from other areas who can meet the time commitment and demonstrate a strong alignment with the school’s values and goals.
